What is Ashva Gandha?
Ashva Gandha is an Ayurvedic medicine also called Indian ginseng. It contains leaves, berries and root extracts of the same name plant of the nightshade family that mainly grows in India and Nepal. The plant contains steroidal lactones, alkaloids, withanolides known for their antioxidant and stress-relieving properties. Withaferin A extracted from the leaves of the plant is known to inhibit the growth of breast and colon cancer cells.  It is a traditional Ayurvedic drug used in various symptoms and conditions treatment.

When is Ashva Gandha indicated?
Ashva Gandha is indicated for the treatment of anxiety, insomnia, arthritis, tuberculosis, bronchitis, asthma, fibromyalgia, hiccups, menstrual cramps, leukoderma and chronic liver disease. It is also prescribed as a general tonic and adaptogen to increase the body’s resistance to stress. The medication can be administered to improve thinking ability and as an anti-aging treatment. Chemicals found in the plant extracts may help calm the nervous system, reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure and reinforce the immune system.

How to take Ashva Gandha?
Take 1 or 2 pills of Ashva Gandha everyday with meals. Each pill contains 350 mg of the plant powdered extract. Allow several weeks to pass before achieving good results. The medication can be used continuously to prevent premature aging, increase the body’s resistance to stress and improve overall health.
